Websites I Recommend Taking A Look At

"Where do I begin....?"

Wow, there are so many interesting sites out there on the web I'd like to tell you about, where do I begin?

I guess I'll just make a start and gradually add links.

Scotland Secrets
This is another Scotland site I am developing, which is more "generic", i.e. it deals with the whole of Scotland. Nevertheless, wherever it seems appropriate I am putting in a plug for Dumfries and Galloway! The "secrets" idea of the site is to focus, wherever possible, on facets that are not likely to be on every other Scotland website out there, and thus "add value" to people's Scotland experience, whether when they visit or when they are just gathering information on the web. I hope you like it!

Scotland Secrets Blog
This blog complements the main Scotland Secrets website and contains more topical, frequently added new snippets of news, information, links to media (e.g. Scotsman stories). Check it out, bookmark it and go back frequently! And feel free to leave a comment or link back to it. (And if you do have a website you can link back from, why not link to this site too?!)

Dumfries and Galloway Online
Dumfries and Galloway Online
Dumfries and Galloway Online contains a host of information about Dumfries, Dumfriesshire and Galloway and links to web sites throughout south west Scotland.

Sandy at Queensberry summit in Dumfries and Galloway hills
Dumfries and Galloway "Photographic Guided Tours" with Sandy Pittendreigh
Sandy Pittendreigh's homepage with its "D&G Themes" is a delight to the eye, with its many pages of visual tours through the picturesque towns and villages of Dumfries and Galloway, the numerous churches and graveyards, and a whole range of invigorating walking tours in the hills of the region.

Dumfries and Galloway Family History Researcher
Ian McLumpha is a Dumfries based family researcher who really knows his stuff! His Imchad Ancestry website also contains lots of interesting Dumfries and Galloway information and pictures as well as genealogy/family history links.
